M3 LCRZ Meter Kit Details

The M3 Digital LCR MeterKit is not recommended as a beginner's kit but should present no major problems to a builder with moderate soldering skills. While there are a few SMD components, these components have already been installed on the pc boards so the kit, from a builder's perspective, is all thru-hole construction. The kit consists of three high quality, double-sided, through plated, printed circuit boards with silk screening to aid in component placement. Components have been selected to provide years of faithful service and have been packaged to allow you to easily identify and organize the parts for assembly. A step-by-step assembly manual, as well as a comprehesive User's Manual, is included with each kit on CD. |

ACCESSORIES:
The M3 Digital LCRZ Meter Kit includes a 4-wire test cable with test hooks. This cable works on most leaded components and is required to take advantage of the transformer measurement capabilities.
4-wire Kelvin Clip and 4-wire SMD Tweezers kits are available as accessory items. These cables must be purchased with an LCR meter kit, they are not sold separately. |

Varactor Diode Test Fixture
The M3 Varactor Test Fixture is an add-on option for the M3 LCRZ meter. With this test fixture the capacitance of a varactor diode, also known as a varicap, can be measured by applying a DC voltage across the varactor between 0 to 5 VDC and 0 to 30 VDC. The test fixture provides the variable DC voltage and no external voltage source is required. This kit is not recommended as a beginner's kit.

M3 Multi-Test Fixture
This Multi-Test Fixture is an add-on option for the M3 LCRZ meter. This test fixture applies external DC bias to inductors and capacitors. Additionally this test fixture will allow the measurement of internal battery resistance. An external variable DC power source from 0 to 30 volts 100mA is required for DC bias applications. This source is not supplied with the kit. The User's Manual contains a schematic for a simple and inexpensive variable DC power source. This kit is not recommended as a beginner's kit.

Warranty:
M Cubed Electronix warranty all kits to be free from defects or missing parts for a period of ninety (90) days from date of purchase. This warranty is provided to original purchasers only. Missing parts will be replaced promptly at our expense. In the case of suspected defective parts, the part must be returned to M Cubed Electronix in suitable condition for testing and determination as to cause of failure. Contact M Cubed Electronix via email or letter for instructions on returning defective parts or to report missing parts. Parts damaged during construction of the kit can be replaced by M Cubed Electronix at a reasonable price. Use of acid core, water soluable flux solder, or any corrosive or conductive flux will void this warranty in its entirety.
Repair Service:
Obviously all of us have different skill levels, and while the M3 Digital LCRZ Meter kit detailed assembly instructions make the kit extremely easy to build, even the most experienced technician will occasionally make a mistake. In the event that your kit fails to work properly, you have checked all of your work, and are still unable to resolve the problem - contact M Cubed Electronix for technical assistance.
