I put mine in a Context Engineering extruded aluminum case (2506H-4.3B) best darn cases on the market - On the enclosure, when a window is cut in the black anodized extruded aluminum, it leaves a silver edge that's distracting. I typically cover the bare aluminum edge with a black sharpie. On the M3 device I saw the built-in metal bezel and said, hey, I'll just stick the metal bezel through the encloure a 16th or so and it will hide the filed edge of the cutout. Worked like a champ. Your metal bezel sticks through a bit and that way, the thickness of the cutout will not obscure the readout at any angle. Hope that made sense.

For your next personal project, try a Context Engineering case. They are nice people and don't mind selling to individual hams at all. Folks in CA can find their enclosures at Fry's. I order mine direct, like I said about 10-12 a year. I never did like putting my circuits in cigar boxes like we did as kids. I like a very neat finished product. You'll note that I shifted the M3 over to the right of the enclosure to allow room for the battery on the right end panel.

You have done a great job of keeping the cost down. Didn't mean to ping you that hard on it. Just a shame that the device (and all the other parts) are so classy and the minigrabbers are a bit cheap in comparison. Thanks for the schematic and for the product...it is way cool (this praise from a retired chief engineer (EE)).
